In general, you must work for an employer who is required by a collective bargaining agreement or other written agreement to make contributions to the Plan for your hours of work. [Section II(D)]
Elected officials and employees of the Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council and elected officials of certain other local unions are also covered by the Plan. [Section II(D)]
Effective May 1, 1994, Floor Layers (Local 1310) are also covered by the Plan. Benefits earned prior to May 1, 1994 are in accordance with the Carpet, Linoleum, Hardwood and Resilient Tile Layers Local Union 1310 Pension Plan, which was merged into this Plan effective May 1, 1994. [Section XII(H)] Effective May 1, 1995, employees of certain trust funds maintained by the Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council are also covered. [Section II(D)] Effective May 1, 2005, the Southern Illinois Carpenters’ Pension Plan was merged into this Plan. [Section XII(H)]
